They used the opportunity for the world launch of the 2012 GSX-R1000 and to provide more information on the 2012 V-Stroms GSX-R1000 In reworking Suzuki’s race bike, engineers focused on improving cornering, braking and acceleration. The outcome is a better low- and midrange power output, a 4.4-pound weight reduction and upgraded Brembo brakes, just to name a few. The ZX-14 has been a major player in the hyperbike wars since its introduction in 2006, becoming the only machine that could hold a candle to Suzuki’s mega-powerful (nearly 160 hp) Hayabusa that was introduced back in 1999.
